I'm currently doing a research project for university on the impact of Torchwood on fans' perceptions of Cardiff as a tourist destination, and so I need as much help as I can get in discussing Cardiff and Torchwood and Torchwood in Cardiff and holidays. Welcome one and all to torchwood_fest's inaugural Post Christmas Blues Fest! It's the only time of the year in which we allow crossovers! Perhaps Torchwood gets an important package delivered from the Planet Express crew at Futurama? Does the Scooby gang from BTVS come to town to slay some demons? Maybe Merlin of Merlin BBC misuses a spell and goes through the Rift and winds up in modern day Cardiff. Let your imagination run wild! And for this fest we are allowing fanvids for the first time ever!

Just wondering... the story on Torchwood was that Lisa was converted because the Cybermen were running out of soldiers near the end of the battle against the Daleks. But didn't the Cybermen appear all over the world? There were definitely loads of them in London alone. Why couldn't they just call in some of the Cybermen in the London streets rather than using a sloppy process to make new soldiers?
I'm not asking anyone to explain the plot hole, but maybe there was a canon explanation I missed?

Do people in the UK eat twinkies? Yes, I need to know this for a TW story I'm working on.

Ho Ho Ho! adventchallenge is pleased to announce that sign-ups for its 2011 Xmas Round are open until the 30th of November. We want to make this year bigger and better than ever, and the most important part of that is you guys, which is why we're inviting every artist and writer who wants to take part to come along and sign up!

What is the Advent Challenge? Simply put 25 stories or artworks posted in the 25 days running up to Christmas.
